PAINTINGS

When I'm not on a pressing deadline with my graphic design projects, I turn my full attention to acrylic painting. I exhibit these works through my membership with the Pittsburgh Associated Artists and also various shows within Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. I lean toward using my creative energies to explore my own vision of the world through landscapes, still-life and wildlife paintings. There I've found an opportunity to explore texture, color and light in new ways. I love to glaze acrylic paint in layers over a heavy textural surface using gesso and sometimes pieces of paper to create works that are rich in color and depth, involving the viewer on many levels.
